FLAGSTONE PATIO

FLAGSTONE PATIO

Patio's are the most versatile and useable forms of a landscape.  They are completely maintenance free and can be designed in a 100 different ways.  Fort Worth Texas is one place where patio's rule.  Hot Texas summers make outdoor work miserable.  So what better way to get rid of grass, dirt patches, water spots, or places where things just will just not grow - PUT A SLAB OF CONCRETE ON TOP OF IT!!.

Once you have designed the shape and size of your patio, you then have to decide what you want your patio to look like.  You can leave it as just concrete, you can stain it, stamp it, or even use colored concrete.  By far the most popular choice is to overlay it with flagstone.

Flagstone comes in a variety of colors.  The price of the flagstone largely depends on how common it is and what query it is coming from.  Some flagstone colors are not as common and may come from a query many states away.  When this happens, the cost of gas to truck it in, along with the availability, plays a huge role in the price.  In Fort Worth Texas Oklahoma Flagstone is generally your most commonly used and price friendly.

When choosing a landscape company to put in your flagstone patio, there is a couple of things you must do first.  ALWAYS get references.  If a landscape company refuses to give you references - STAY AWAY!!  Make sure they carry General Liability Insurance.  This insurance protects you if one of their workers gets injured on your property.  Flagstone Patio's generally run anywhere from 2,500.00 and up!  Be careful who you give your money to.

Make sure the company guarantees there work!  Signs of poor workmanship on a flagstone patio generally does not show up for a couple of months.  The Flagstone starts cracking, the mortar crumbles and you have loose flagstones.  If this happens you want to make sure your company comes back and fixes the problem!!
